Summary The Supervisory Store Associate serves as the second line supervisor and manager of the Front-End Department of a Commissary storeThe incumbent is fully responsible for all aspects of planning, scheduling, coordinating and controlling front end activities and personnel, and controlling all funds received and deposited daily as part of the front-end department operationsResponsibilities This is a developmental positionWork assignments are progressively complex and intended to broaden the incumbent's skills and provide practical experience to prepare the incumbent to perform at the target grade levelAt the target grade level, the Major Duties are:

Experience:

Plans, directs, or assigns work for employeesKnowledgeable of multiple departments within a grocery store to evaluate work, provide instruction and conduct on the job training for workersCarry out daily retail grocery store functions necessary to successfully execute store operationsPhysical requirements:
(1) Frequently lift, push, pull, carry, and handle commissary products weighing up to 40 pounds without assistanceHeavier products are moved with assistance from other workers or by using weight-handling equipment (for example:
