We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Shop Work Order Coordinator to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and smooth flow of work orders through our machine shop, coordinating with various teams to meet production goals and maintain high-quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Work Order Coordination:
Manage and prioritize machine shop work orders, ensuring timely execution and delivery.
Set deadlines and follow up to make sure timelines are being met.
Communication:
Collaborate with production teams, project managers, and machine operators to gather information and update customers on work order status.
Scheduling:
Create and maintain production schedules, taking into consideration machine capabilities, resource availability, and project deadlines.
Understand lean manufacturing and eliminate waste.
Schedule shipment for products.
Quality Control:
Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure that products meet the required specifications and quality standards.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of work orders, including any changes or modifications during the production process.
Manage paperwork and create invoices and estimates.
Managing inventory and ordering materials will also be required.
Problem Resolution:
Address and resolve any issues or delays in the production process, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Understand the AAT culture:
People Smarts, Hunger, Humility Schedule:
8 AM - 6PM Monday to Friday Overtime as needed:
Weekends when needed
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
Technical Knowledge:
Familiarity with machining processes and equipment is essential.
Organizational Skills:
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle multiple work orders simultaneously.
Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with cross-functional teams.
Problem-Solving:
Proven ability to identify and solve problems efficiently to keep production on track.
Detail-Oriented:
Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in work order documentation and execution.
Strong knowledge of computers and technology.
Use multiple software platforms to manage and coordinate work orders
